A very very wet evening, but Dave, Simon, Dan and myself all turned up at the top of the hill by Angler's Retreat for a MTB ride. Due to the weather we decided against the monger route out to the Chute and instead dropped down into Artists Valley via Als Descent and then rode back up to the top and down the MXer trails to form a figure of eight.

Glad I did it despite the weather as it turned out to be a nice ride. It did just about stop raining in the end, but by then we were soaked through anyway. Some of the river crossings were pretty deep!

I managed to make it up the little lung-burner climb though and almost cleared the rocky step back to the cars as well... Next time!
